Hi all, I’m relocating to the twin cities later this year from the southwest, currently searching for housing. Do y’all who have lived in cold weather have anything in particular you seek out/avoid in a listing to better deal with the climate? For example when I’ve rented in AZ I had a preference for tile flooring over any other kind because it stays much cooler; I specifically never lived anywhere with west-facing windows in the bedroom to mitigate heat; no garage to mitigate snake and scorpion interaction, etc. Does anyone have any tips for what to look for, what questions to ask, anything along those lines for the twin cities area?
