Batman: the Cult is so underrated

My God, I can't understand why Batman: The Cult didn't become a character classic. It's an incredibly strong comic that digs deep into the character's psychology. The comic is excellent, and I believe it should be considered on par with many popular Batman storylines. The Cult turned out to be unusual, but it is nevertheless well worth your attention.

Well, here is another TDKR sequel. Honestly, I liked this story for the most part.

Bruce Wayne is physically spent to the limit to the point where he can barely even walk. In this arc, the new Kryptonians call themselves gods and want everyone to bow down to them. What I especially loved was how Superman, no matter the odds, refuses to give in, even after being beaten and standing alone against an army of thousands.

While Superman, Batman, and the rest stay true to character, I have to give a shout-out to Carrie Kelley. At the start, she’s trying to fill Batman's shoes and become the new Dark Knight while Bruce is MIA. By the end, she becomes the new Batgirl, so to speak.

The story is solid, but it’s not without its flaws. For example, there’s some unnecessary focus on Wonder Woman and other side characters, and it’s just hard to believe this takes place in the same universe as the original.

Regardless, it’s definitely worth a read; it shows that Miller hasn’t lost his touch.

The worst part, though, is Bruce becoming young again at the finale. It basically devalues everything that happened leading up to it.

I think it’s a pretty good story, but it’s still not as good as the original.
