Epic 8/ epic 8 evo Sizing
Considering grabbing an epic 8 and/or epic 8 evo. Unfortunately I fall between sizes frequently. Can anyone speak from experience if I should lean towards small or medium? I am 5’6 with a pretty long inseam around 30.5.

Really just wanting to get some opinions. I have an appointment scheduled with a PT Bike fitter, but figured I’d get everyone’s opinion.
I previously was on a medium 2025 Scalpel 1. I decided to go towards more of a down country bike, and picked up a 2025 medium Rocky Mountain element. After a few rides, I’m noticing some pretty bad lingering pain in my hands, arms and shoulders. I don’t recall having this issue at all on the scalpel. Did I mess up getting the RM element in medium? I’m beginning to wonder if I needed a small.
I’m 5’6, shorter torso and longer legs. The RM element feels like I’m putting a lot of pressure on my hands especially on the flats.
I recently picked up a lightly used 2025 RM Element. I’ve noticed this very bizarre noise whenever I turn the handlebars side to side or move the front wheel at all. Any ideas what in the world is causing this?
I recently picked up a RM Element. It came with DT Swiss XR1700 wheelset and Maxxis Forekaster 29x2.4 tires. I’m looking to switch my tire setup to Rekon/Aspen. With these having 25mm width, I’m guessing I should stick to the Aspen and Rekon in 29x2.25? I have heard about people having issues with running the 2.4 on 25mm, though the forecasters that are on there now have no problems. Any input would be appreciated!
I just recently changed bikes to a 2025 Rocky Mountain Element. Currently has F&R Forekasters which feel very slow for me. I ride varied terrain in southeastern Pennsylvania. A lot of blue flow trails with hard pack dirt. I also ride some more technical trails with a lot of rocks and roots. What would be a good setup for this? Conditions are rarely extremely wet, though they can be sometimes.
