Ever had multiple proxies get blocked at once? Might be a subnet thing
Had something happen recently that finally made this click for me
I was running a setup and everything looked fine at first… then in like 2 days of using proxies bunch of my IPs stopped working almost at the same time (this was really weird to me)
At first I thought:
- maybe the site tightened limits
- maybe something broke in my setup
But turns out most of those IPs were from the same subnet
From what I understand now:
If your proxies share the same first 3 octets (like 212.65.112.x), they’re likely in the same /24 subnet
And some sites don’t just block one IP, they block the whole range
which can be like 200 IPs gone at once
Makes sense when you think about it, but I honestly never paid attention to this before
