I live in the east coast of the US and we tend to have a pretty busy storm season from late spring all the way into the fall, with the occasional threat of hurricanes. My neighborhood loses power multiple times a year, and I was tired of being without power and losing all the food in our fridge and freezer. We started with a Anker C1000, which has been great for running the fridge, but we wanted to be able to run the whole house for at least a day, and also slowly begin to incorporate more solar. After a ton of research, I finally decided on the E10 with the Smart Inlet Box. So far we’ve been loving it. While we haven’t had an outage yet, it’s been awesome utilizing the time of use setting and lowering our power bills. We also added a small solar array, and hope to expand in the coming years. We feel totally ready for the next storm and being able to run the whole house for at least a day. If we are more modest with our electricity use during an outage, can probably run for a few days.
