I just got my Class 10 CBSE results and scored 77.4%. I’m planning to switch from CBSE to State Board for 11th and 12th, and I wanted to hear your experiences and opinions before I finalize my decision.
My main reason is that I want to focus more on competitive exams (like JEE/NEET), and from what I’ve heard, the State Board syllabus is comparatively less tough, which might give me more time and mental space to prepare separately.
Also, I’m considering joining a nearby school, which would save me a lot of transportation time and money. I feel like that extra time could really add up over two years and help with self-study.
But I’m still a bit unsure.
For those who made a similar switch (CBSE → State Board):
What were the biggest pros and cons?
Did it actually help you with competitive exam prep?
Was there any difficulty adjusting to the new system or syllabus?
Looking back, would you recommend it?
Any honest advice or personal experiences would really help me make a better decision.
Thanks in advance!
General opinions are also welcome!
