In Defense of New England Style (Top Split) Buns
I saw a post on this sub the other day with comments stating New England Style (top split) buns were trash, and that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm not talking about brands here, solely on the type of bun, and you just cannot beat NE-style buns when they are properly prepared. Is it an extra step? Yup. Is it worth it? 10 times out of 10. Pure golden brown perfection that cannot be replicated on other styles of bun. Apologies to those that do not have them in regular rotation at your local grocer, it's a shame and you deserve better!
