severe car crash victim over here
A little over a week ago on 4/17 I was involved in a high speed crash/ejection. I was not driving and the driver did not hit another car but somehow (I have zero memory of the accident) we ended up rolling several times and I was either ejected out of the moon roof or passenger window. I should be dead but I landed in sticker bushes which really saved me. Someone didn’t want me to go yet. I sustained several injuries, a broken back (I’m told I was basically in half) which required an emergency 7 hour surgery, all my ribs broke and half my neck fractured and I suffered from a brain bleed that thankfully reabsorbed itself. Accompanied by road rash all over my body and face.
I am a bartender by trade and I cannot go back to doing that for a long time now as the bending and shaking would be too much. I depleted my emergency fund earlier this year so I’m left with no income to take care of my animals and myself whenever I am released and sent to rehab. I’m still in the hospital right now.
I am eternally grateful to be alive, however, I don’t have much for a support system to help navigate my finances for the forseeable future.
