A very underrated moment for Mother's day.

Source: Sensational She-Hulk #53.

Context: While dying and shortly before getting saved by a dose of gamma energy, She-Hulk's soul meets her mother Elaine who tells Jennifer to let go of her guilt over "killing" her (who died in a car accident when visiting Jen's musical play) and Jill (who was accidentally killed in an attempt to assassinate Jen).

Happy mother day!!

As much as my opinion about Rebecca shifted towards being a bit negative throughout the years, I can still understand why Bruce did and still sees her as an angelic figure in his life.

From what he said when mentioning her twice in Immortal Hulk. Joe Fixit's view of their mother isn’t as sympathetic as his other alters' (although Devil and Fractured Son haven’t given an opinion on her yet, IIRC).

In issue #22, he explicitly uses Rebecca as an example of people Savage Hulk is attached to for just the minimal amount of kindness, and in #48 (what might be him at his most honest), he says she wasn't there to comfort him after Brian beat him. Also, this seems to be a bit recent, since in Incredible Hulk #377, he seemed to really like her.

It’s a very complicated matter that future writers should focus on, because obviously, Rebecca was a spousal abuse victim, but she still ultimately failed in protecting Banner.
