Hey all I modded a switch lite with no issues. All of the sudden battery started draining while completely switched off. Now it won’t turn on. Doing some testing I found this capacitor to be shorted. Will replacing the Max77812 chip solve my issue?
My switch lite I modded was working perfectly then after a month the battery would just drain when totally off and then refused to turn on all together, which probably meant I have a short. I opened it up and noticed somehow a small back screw was under the heat shield on top of the CPU as you can see from the dent in the picture. I unsoldered the mod chip it still won’t turn on. I cannot find the issue I get a few shorted caps under the CPU. Is my CPU cooler??
My switch was working fine for about 2 months then one day it stopped and this is the error code I get. Any advice?
