Hi I’m wondering if anyone had any experience with a basque waist corset dress - if I attach a regular circle skirt which seems easier considering the pointed waist, is it going to be very unflattering with the boned bodice squashing a little stomach downwards? Is it better to use a gathered skirt or a gathered circle skirt maybe?

It will be just over knee length, flaring out at the bottom in sort of a skater skirt style from the waist.
