does fasting actually help SIBO ?

I have never been able to successfully fast or eat significantly healthier since getting diagnosed with sibo. However i started adhd meds a few weeks ago which has considerably cut my appetite. Now i often forget to eat and typically just eat one meal a day.

I sometimes wake up and go nearly the whole day without eating, which has almost never happened before in my life lmao.

I’ve been eating less than usual for 2 weeks now and i feel like there has been slightly positive changes. I mean I still have a ton of symptoms like bloating, weight gain and diarrhea (I tested super positive for hydrogen sibo and doc suspects i probably also have some sort of yeast/candida issue but haven’t gotten tested for it yet) but it hasn’t been AS bad as it was before. I’m not sure if the accidental fasting has genuinely helped and if it will reduce the severity or not.

Has anyone had truly positive results when you fast (intentionally or not) lol ? Does it actually help the sibo or prevent it from getting worse, or is it just a short term bandaid solution ?

Is jaded in french actually « blasé »?

I put this word in some translators and they all came out with blasé, but to me blasé is just … blasé in english lol. Like almost nonchalant, I don’t know if that’s a direct translation tho. Jaded in english feels a bit more negative, cynical and less chill than blasé does. it has a different undertone to me but i don’t know if it sounds like that to native speakers? do you think there is any better equivalent in french?
