I could, if no-one else is... or wants to.
Yep, made more of these! No Reigning Waters teasers this time, unfortunately, but... maybe you'll see more about it in the future?
Also I've been thinking of making a few entries about various enemies we've encountered during Eternity, if anyone wants to help with that.
((The Rhinogrund isn't part of Lock's sprite, but I felt like I had to add it, same with the Wisps on Possessed Korrae.))
((This post is about the Reigning Waters Arc, which happened over on the Maw RP Discord. Please ask u/Appropriate_Law2321 for more information!))
On the day we would capture Miguel Noskin, we first decided to venture to the Steam Gate, a massive mechanical structure that separates the island of Reigning Waters from the outside world. We had hoped to find snail shaman drifters and the Defier tribe, who could teach us new skills we could use to take down Miguel. However, what we ended up running into was far different. We saw many things we thought we'd never see outside of Pharloom; among them, the Citadel's Cogwork Clappers, or at least very close replicas of them. Though they put up quite a fight, they were ultimately no match for the full might of the Maw Expedition. Further in, we found the corpse of a worker wearing a strange steel mask, carrying a scroll that read the following:
This was when I realized we were stepping into waters too deep for most.
Instead of continuing our adventure into Reigning Waters, Brittle said we should apprehend Miguel right then and there. We were ultimately successful and threw a massive party in the dining room, which climaxed with Juan and Korrae confessing their love for each other.
Truly a match made in heaven... You go, Juan!
Everyone would forget about Reigning Waters and relax for a time, as we were going to loot Miguel's mansion for any of its goodies the next day. Everyone... except Kravula.
Several of us noticed that Kravula was really starting to overwork himself. Between the encounters with >!Clarence !<and everything revealed during our time at the Steam Gate, could anyone blame him? Still, this wasn't healthy for him, and so Juan, Pale Craw (their constructs at least), and I stepped in.
...But, this proved fruitless. Kravula wasn't going to let up, and his decision to keep working himself past his limits would prove costly.
While the rest of us were asleep, Kravula took the submarine, and went to the Steam Gate alone. Luckily, he wasn't entirely alone, as Pale Craw's constructs followed him, but it still came as a shock to all of us at the mansion. Victor believed he had been lured there by the steel-masked cultists, and was unable to resist their influence due to his fatigue.
At first, I had trusted that Pale Craw's constructs would teleport Kravula back if he couldn't handle himself, but as minutes passed with no news on him or his whereabouts, I took matters into my own claws. Me and my trusted friends; Juan, Victor, and the Snail Shaman, would travel to the Steam Gate with a mission to find and rescue Kravula.
Taro: (panting) "Guys, wait up! I... I'm still recovering from the battle at Bilewater."
Juan: "..."
Kravula: "C'mon, Taro, keep up!"
Taro: (still panting) "How did she even end up here...? I thought she was still at Miguel's mansion..."
