The non-coding MCP use case nobody is talking about and its not what you think
Everyone using MCP is connecting Claude to repos, databases, dev tools. All useful but the connection that actually changed my day to day was completely different because I connected Claude to my bank
I manage about 30 rental units across two buildings and the financial side was drowning me with collecting rent, paying contractors, tracking maintenance expenses per unit, invoicing tenants for repairs, reconciling everything at the end of the month. Set up MCP with my bank and first couple weeks Claude asked alot of questions about tenants, amounts, categories. Then around week 3 I said invoice unit 4B for the plumbing repair last tuesday and Claude just did it. Right tenant, right amount, right format and didnt ask me a thing.
Now it flags late rent payments, tracks maintenance costs per unit and gives me a weekly summary I actually look forward to. I use Meow for banking since they have MCP support but the real star here is Claude, the way it builds context over time and stops needing hand holding is what makes this work. If your running anything with recurring payments and alot of financial admin this was the most unexpectedly useful MCP setup ive found
