I've submitted maybe 8 standard PTO requests over the last 2 years and never had one denied, but I put one in this morning about 8am for tomorrow morning to get off at 10am (request was for 10am to 11:50am) and had it denied...
Have y'all seen requests get denied? Ive been told that requests won't get denied as long as they're in at least 24 hrs in advance. Kinda pissed that they can't give me an hour and 50 mins. So now I'm just gonna take upt, so they still won't have me but now I just won't get paid for it. Man that really irks me.
Update: they sent out a full shift VTO tonight (which I of course missed by literally .03 of a second)... System sending out full shifts of VTO but had my less than 2 hours of PTO rejected. Real cool. Makes me feel super valued.
Last wed (my Friday) I was put on unloading on the dock for a couple hours, then taken off and told that I'm not allowed to do that position until I've done the training in the device (although I've been doing it for a year no problem). They said, verbatim, if I'm asked to do it tell them I'm not trained, and if they insist then escalate it to their boss. I go in today, start on divert, then told to go unload BY THE SAME PERSON WHO TOLD ME LAST WEEK NOT TO DO TS. I mentioned what he'd told me, he radiod someone, and then said "oh well, we need ya back there". I feel like I should report this, but don't wanna be *that guy*.... What should I do?
I come across this at least a couple times per week when I go into the stall in the men's bathroom. Somebody is nasty as hell. I'm not even sure why your dirty crack is all the way on the back of the seat in the first place, or how you're getting 💩 on the side of the seat.
