Did you wait 6 months with the mirena?
Hi everyone, I had a laproscapy 3 months ago and they found deep infiltrating endometriosis and could not remove it at the time so I have had to get an MRI and CT and then I'm going to be discussed in the MDT meeting to see what they can do. I had the mirena coil inserted at the same time as my laproscapy and ever since then I have been constant heavy bleeding and clotting having to change every hour, my GP has put me on northesterone to control the bleeding which did help however it has really affected my mental health so I don't really want to keep taking it. When I ring to ask if I can get the coil removed they keep saying I should really wait 6 months, but I feel like I can't go on much longer like this, my ferritin levels are severely low which they gave me iron tablets for but I feel like they are not improving. Sorry for the long post but my question is has anyone else experienced this and waited the full 6 months with the coil? Thank you
