Why is our CM campaigning AIADMK in TN and is this even required?
Yesterday, during the delimitation discussion, some people argued that we shouldn’t align with neighboring southern states in this issue and that opposing them is fine even if it weakens the South collectively especially with Tamil Nadu as they opposed us earlier.
Now, we’re seeing a contrasting move.
CBN went to Coimbatore to campaign for AIADMK as part of the NDA alliance. As per most pre-poll expectations, AIADMK isn’t in a strong position.

AIADMK, during Jayalalithaa’s tenure, opposed Special Status for Andhra Pradesh at a time when CBN himself was CM.
On the other hand, we’re actively participating in another state’s political battle.
More importantly,
As a sitting CM, is it really necessary to campaign for a party in another state?
If DMK ends up winning, are we risking unnecessary friction with the ruling party of a neighboring state?
At one end talking about regional unity when convenient, but politically aligning in ways that could strain inter-state relations.
