Is this appropriate as a MOB dress?
My 60 year old mother purchased this dress to wear at my outdoor mountain wedding in September at a barn venue with a semi-formal dress code. I don’t like it for multiple reasons: doesn’t fit the vibe of the venue, very flashy, and it’s also a similar silhouette and shape to my dress (although my dress has a sweetheart strapless neckline with some lace). I suggested she could wear a shawl with it for walking down the aisle and family photos and then ditch it for the reception and dancing but she got upset by that suggestion. I have a complicated relationship with my mom and I can be easily triggered by her so not sure if I’m overreacting here. Is this a reasonable MOB dress?
