This is my very first altar. I am still very new to Buddhism, but I wanted a spot in my house to pray. What should I be doing exactly? The first time I prayed I tried to imagine myself connected with the Buddha statue, and mirror him sitting resolute without letting outside influences come into my mind. If they do, I return back to this image I have. Is there anything I am missing?
