Home was built in 1954, Oregon USA. Currently doing electrical and need to take these down. They look like wood fibers to me, but I’m no expert. Tiles are 16x32, no label that I have seen.
1954 home. Found rare and lovely gold flake and pink vinyl and thought maybe we could revive it. Went slow and kept it moist at first thinking just below the vinyl is the danger zone. uncovered a mess around the toilet, everything was crumbling and flaking. Yikes! Then we know it was trouble so we taped everything we thought was exposed down. then went a wild pulling up the lino covering the rest (it was late, there was wine, we are dumb) not knowing this grey paper could be asbestos. floor’s been like this for over a week, us and the dogs in and out… did we fuck up?? What should we do now??
