One problem I am having with Hiyuki is that is the enemy attacks while I am attacking and I cancel into a dodge, I enter Iai instead.

This slows time, throws off my timing and generally makes it harder to dodge attacks. The only way to avoid this that I found is to dodge at the very last moment which is hard to do consistently. You can parry as well but that is way less forgiving than dodge.

Does anyone who does solo gameplay have a good solution? Or am I missing a mechanic?
