Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading a lot about aquaponics and wants to build a system, I’m curious about the real-world struggles people face.
For those of you who’ve been running a system for a while:
- What causes the most fish deaths in your experience?
- Is it more about water parameters (pH, ammonia, temp), equipment failure, or something else?
- How do you usually detect something is going wrong?
- Have you ever lost fish unexpectedly? What happened?
Also:
- Do you actively monitor your system (sensors, manual tests, ...)?
- What do you wish was easier or more automated?
Would really appreciate any stories or lessons learned
