I live in a super rural area so good leftist books are really hard to find, at most i can only usually find some hard core lib books in my local libraries and book stores. i also can’t buy online because of my home situation and it’s really hard for me to read books online. so i thought maybe i could get my local libraries to order me some books but like i said i live in a rural area where most people are super conservative and even if they are more progressive they’re usually liberals, anyways i was hoping i could find some leftist theory books that you wouldn’t really be able to tell are leftist just by the title and/or book cover

hi so i have a pitt mix that i got from the rescue i work at and she is mostly okay with people but she is very reactive when people are in what she deems as “her space” (aka my bedroom) which would be fine but the problem is that i live in my parents basement (haha reddit user living in their parents basement) and my parents need to get down there to wash clothes and what not. anyways, im gonna get a muzzle for her so we can work on her getting used to my mom being down there without us worrying that she’ll bite her so does anyone have any tips for muzzle training?

basically the title, my leftist beliefs tell me that that as long it’s two consenting adults it fine and that masturbation is good and healthy but ive been told my whole life that bible says that’s all wrong and i feel kinda dumb but im just wondering how other people balance it or maybe this is one of those things that is a mistranslation or misunderstood in the bible?

So yesterday i was talking to my brother, and for context he voted for trump and supports ICE. we got talking about Iran and i had said that i don’t think we should be meddling in other countries and he had said he thinks that america should meddle in any country saying death to america. so i started explaining imperialism a bit and i had said “well do you think jewish pple should be meddled with if they say death to germans because they’ve only heard nazis being referred to as germans?” and he said “yeah i do think that the jews should be meddled with” and basically started going on the nazi talking points ab how they rule the world and i said “well there’s a difference between zionists and jewish people” and he was intrigued and after explaining it a bit he started to agree so while i don’t think ill be able to change his mind on trump i was able to veer him away from some pretty bad anti-semitism. and i just wanted to share this to encourage others to maybe also have conversations with their family and friends about this stuff.
