New launch…
A new launch has been teased. I’m gonna bet that it’s going to be either a colour corrector, or a revamped lipstick formula.
But all we really want is that darn blush back. 🤣

One solid stripe, under artificial light with flash.
Top to bottom:
- Ground coffee - Neutral dark brown
- Burnt umber - warm brown with a slight tinge of red to it. (Eerily close to pink eye central on my eyes)
- Cinder Smoke - Cool grey, the pearl doesn’t show up much. It reads as a matte. If it was not for the flash, no sparkle would be detected.
- Betina - Light purple. I thought it was close to MAC’s Satin Taupe, as that was many a cool toned, fair skinned girls dream. Never quite got it to work on my cool-neutral skin. So I swatched beside it. Funnily enough it reads really warm, and is closer to:
- Renaissance Gold - It’s an antique gold with a warm mid brown base.
Also discount code link for funz.
As promised, the wear test.
Prep: Water made a brief appearance, followed by aggressive towel action. Bougie me-time. I’ve got dry skin across my face. My eyelids become a little oily as the day progresses. I did not use a primer.
Application: Fluffy small brush (Rephr 13) for Bianca applied on 2/3 of my lid. Bigger, slightly denser, fluffy brush (Rephr 15) for the outer V, 1/3 with Selene.
Products: Eyeshadows as listed above. Top waterline, tight line between lashes: Ground Coffee, Kitten Mascara in Black.
Weather: 17°C / 62.2°F and 70% humidity, a soft launch into swampy conditions. Welcome to the jungle:
Applied at 10:30 AM, full of hope and unrealistic expectations.
Activities for the day:
Cycled like my life depended on it. Wind was aggressively slapping me in the face. Brief emotional moment ensued (read: my eyes watered like I’d just watched The Notebook, but it was just the cold). Light sweat achieved. Stunning. Accompanied a teenager on a makeup expedition. Selecting a blush shade proved to be a low-stakes version of diffusing a bomb, except failure results in social death instead of an explosion. Some sweating happened. One wrong move and it’s over. We survived. Barely.
Walked through heavy rain for character development. Humidity reached levels typically reserved for tropical greenhouses. Discovered new and exciting ways for the human body to produce sweat. Finished strong: barn duties, grocery run, and finally made it home looking like I’d been through a minor natural disaster. No touch-ups throughout the day, not even wiping smudges (mainly because there were none, which feels both impressive and mildly unsettling: what sorcery is this?!). Took final photos at 20:30 and retired from active duty.
Disclaimer: The second closed-eye photo shows more shimmer, courtesy of lighting doing the absolute most. In the morning I was limited to whatever the sun could muster; by evening, I was finally granted access to the teenager’s makeup light.
Conclusion: Built to outlast civilisation, and will survive a nuclear attack. 👏
