🗝️🪽 The Angels of Defiance🗝️🪽
“He who endures, conquers."
In the haunted Northwest frontier of the Tri-Thanatic Reach in the Segmentum Pacificus, three planets loom large: Ossuar Prime, Pyrrhic Folly, and Noctyraes. Where plague wars, sepulchral forests, the humming darkness of long hidden or forgotten vaults, historied collapses, and the dead left unburied once nearly consumed entire worlds in Nurglite blight, the Angels of Defiance stand vigil.
Born from the remnants of a shattered Dark Angels detachment and reforged during the Ultima Founding, the Chapter wages war not merely for victory in battle, but for victories that endure timelessly against decay, corruption, and chaos itself, understanding how precariously close the distance between survival and progress is from ruin.
The Tri-Thanatic Reach, colloquially known as the Ossuary Marches, remembers what happens when worlds and cities collapse
When the rotting dead fill the streets, without rites of burial, raised by the Grandfather of Rot to walk once more in a mockery of Man
When names are lost to time and destruction.
When wars never truly end, and victory is merely a temporary description.
This is where the Angels endure. This is where they defy the dying of the light and the death of hope. This is where they defy the erasure of Mankind, and the enemies who seek it.
What we offer:
- A game community for Angels of Defiance fans, as well as Dark Angels fans.
A growing heraldry section, with input from you.
A structured Librarius where lore is to be uploaded and crafted by those who choose to be the writers and thinkers of Chapter canon.
Original Dark Angels successor lore & imperial theology, using a non-fleshed out canon chapter as the base.
The Tri-Thanatic Reach setting of the Segmentum Pacificus
Rank structure & progression systems
Developing honors, commendations, and traditions
Organized departments & operational structure, some still developing
Many utility, moderation, ticket, and support bots already integrated, including a music bot.
Built with artists in mind, providing them a unique category as the Mortis Guild, a guild of the Tri-Thanatic Reach whose artistry is coupled with the remembrance of death and legacy of those who have lived. A unique category where artists and creators who are plying their trade can be semi-sovereign stewards of their own area of the server, advertising their art and creations freely to an audience.
Mortuary/Death knighthood aesthetic inspired by hedge knights, typical funerary associated colors, folk aesthetics, a little bit of Dark Souls, muted colors, pub culture, folk music, funerary rites, over the garden wall art style, Pacific Northwest landscapes, vaults upon vaults of secrets, subterranean hive cities on the forested Noctyraes and it's dark liminal vaults in the ancient forests, where many a guard regiment has disappeared without a trace when investigating.
Chillsim server, double clanning allowed up to a certain point (prevent burnout so you aren't having duel leadership and being pressed for time). Flame wars with other chapters are thoroughly avoided, aside from obviously serious incidents.
Understanding that life comes first, no ridiculous activity requirements (play with the group once a month to stay out of stasis)

Entry considerations:
- AI use is not allowed for official or final chapter server art.
- No minors allowed, prefer to keep children away from potential adult discussions and groups of adults.
FAQ:
- Are the cosmetics (be it armor pieces, or secondary and trim colors) a member can wear restricted in any way? If so, are they restricted when a member is playing with your clan/Milsim or only when doing challenges?
Yes, they are restricted and used as awards for leveling up or winning honors, however, it's not required to be worn always when playing. Just when filling out AAR reports if wanting to track progress, honor/commendation ticket when picture proof of requirement compliance is needed in-match (if applicable), or participating in chapter events. Currently, the heraldry and armor isnt fully developed yet so more freedom armor wise once past battle-brother
- Do members have to fill out any kind of After Action Reports when playing with your clan/Milsim? If so, are they only filled out during challenges or for any matches played with clan/Milsim members? Are they required or simply ‘heavily encouraged?’
More encouraged if anything, the AARs are used to track progress for certain challenges and rank thresholds to a certain point. You're not expected to always fill one out, nor is every member of a team in the group required to fill one out of participating in the AAR progression, just one, with noting the class played by each member, so their stats can be tracked for honors/commendations
- How seriously are ranks taken in your clan/Milsim? Do members have to treat higher ranked members as if they are in the military or are ranks more cosmetic in nature?
Middle ground, more cosmetic, but there's a tendency to defer to server guidelines and reminders from higher ranks. It is definitely encouraged, but you're not gonna be demoted or anything for bantering with a higher rank, within reason and the rule guidelines.
- Is double clanning (being in another Space Marine 2 clan/Milsim as a member) allowed while a member is also a member of your clan/milsim?
Yes, you just can't go above NCO if you're an officer of another server. This is due to wanting to prevent burnout in people and people fighting over the time of one person. It's hard enough to have leadership roles in even one server, when you have real-life to deal with. Let's not double your stress.
- Do the moderators/admin of this server search for, monitor and/or take action against members that are also part of (or join) any other Space Marine 2-related discord server? Taking action includes demoting, kicking/banning, presenting a ‘us or them’ ultimatum, or otherwise punishing members.
Largely dependent on the server, some servers are justifiably on the outs with the majority of the community due to their server's behavior. As well, largely dependent on the behavior of the individual. If you were kicked from another server for rather minor reasons, I will not be harsh about it. But if you were kicked for things that even violate our centrally important rules, yes you will be kicked/banned. There are rather serious offenses community wide that would warrant a kick.
- In terms of server culture, how seriously is the MilSim/Roleplay aspect taken? Is it treated as a matter of serious roleplay, or more as a pre-tense for a group of friends to play together?
Middle ground. More as a pre-tense for a group of friends to play together, while having fun and creating extra content to carry the game and setting the extra mile. I won't demand you address me and treat me as actual royalty IRL, and do some whole song and dance thing.
