I remember seeing a music video on MTV or VH1 maybe in the 2000s or early 2010s

it had a female singer walking through a forest singing to the camera as it backed up for most of the song.

it was like back woods and had a kind of creepy vibe and in the song I think some villagers came out and followed her.

it was more of a vocal based song with some persecution, maybe guitar and some chain like sound effects.

I never saw the video again after a few repeat showings of it and didnt get the song title. always left an impact in me.
