What does StandBy actually do?

Yes, I know it keeps you online with a slow speed. But it was once said to preserve your spot against waitlisting and congestion fees when you reactivate. AFAIK the following is now correct. There is no longer a waitlist in the US. It has been replaced with congestion fee where applicable. And congestion fee is no longer avoided by use of StandBy. So again my question -- other than maintaining a minimal on-going capability, what is StandBy good for? BTW, I'm not against StandBy -- I use it for my RV Mini because the minimal performance is usually all I need camping.

USMOBILE/Starlink Bundle

I'm both a USMOBILE customer and a Starlink customer and received a teaser email that implies I can soon get a package containing both. For less that I'm currently paying for one. That should be interesting. They have been working very well for me.
