975 TOD Mid-Screen Combo with Teemo/Illaoi Freestyle (2 Meter Teemo, 1 Meter Illaoi)

Part 2 of my Freestyle findings with Teemo/Illaoi, mid-screen edition.

My corner combo I found works mid-screen as well, and lol it does an extra 10 damage, neat.

Pokemon Pisces - Thoughts & Link to HoF Team

okay... second time's the charm.

Tried writing a whole thing before, somehow it didn't get posted alongside the screenshots.

WHOOPS.

Pokemon Pisces, I like it but I have some thoughts.

(Wrote a much bigger thing the first time posting and for some reason it did not fully post my shots and post so I'm gonna make this a much simpler version of said original post.)

Things I Love:

- Original sprite work is awesome.

- Love the whole 'in reverse' thing, starting at Sootopolis and ending at Rustboro.

- Music, both original and music from R / S / E, is noice. Really enjoyed the original tracks.

- QoL choices were solid, especially not having to teach you Mons HMS. Thank you.

- The re-vamped areas (Cave of Origin, Ever Grande City, Petalburg Woods, etc.) were nice.

- The new areas (Zotpyre Village, Sweltorn Desert/Palace, New Mauville) were very well done.

- Coolmutte is now one of new favorite fakemons and I love him.

- Lots of interesting fakemon, had me changing my team a fair bit b/c of typing and designs.

- Rival battle near the very end of the game was pretty cool, love the sprite work for their team.

Things I did NOT love:

- Story was alright. Kind of just... there. At some points it felt like things were just... kind of happening because. Especially near the end, just aight time to fight GOD or welp, those pesky legendary Pokemon are at it again with the weather, can you go and handle it?

- Team Ozone was kind of a nothing burger of a team.

- LORD I HATE RAY. Something about his writing and character annoyed me, also his battles were some of my least favorite, seemingly popping up at the worst times imaginable.

- WHAT WAS UP WITH WALLY? That whole 'I'm gonna kill you!' bit combined with his trainer battle, throwing himself INTO said battle to try and kill your Mons, was just all sorts of weird.

- Level Caps were lame. I've played through games like Odyssey, Mariomon, and Emerald Seaglass on Hard Mode and with level caps. I'm fine with them but like, the ones in this game were annoying, especially considering certain Mons of mine were always like, 1 level away from evolving when I would hit the cap and then go, "GUESS I GOTTA WAIT. OH WELL!"

- Tone of the game is all over the place.

- Dialogue is a mixed bag, ranging from kind of interesting/funny to annoying to cringe.

- HATE THE FINAL BOSS. Maybe it's just me but that thing was annoying. Had to spam revives and wear down his PP, pelting him with moves like Drain Punch, Earth Power, and Close Combat, eventually getting the W. Also, Steel/Dragon is a really annoying typing.

- Hated encountering certain Mons in trainer battles, including Promiscbus & Kowako.

- Dragged at times, felt like there was way too many battles between certain towns. Kept either dying and having to run back over to where I was or run back myself to grab more items.

- The legendaries were kind of pointless. Groudon + Kyogre did nothing. The new ones were just... kind of there. And I just straight up don't really like the design of Shunyong.

- Elite 4 and Champion(s) were lame. Battles were fine enough, was neat to battle Archie and Maxie at the end, but like, example why did Shelly have 3 Orrowhelms?! I did like the QoL choice to not have you fight them again once you beat them. That was neat.

Overall: I'd say 7ish/8 out of 10. Leans more towards a 7 than it does an 8.

By the by, Coolmutte + 252 HP + 252 Atk + Rocky Helmet + Slack Off + Item Spam = kind of OP. Yes I know he has Truant but thank god for the QoL to allow you to still use 'lazy moves.' Pretty much was move, Slack Off/item, move, Slack Off/item, etc. Saved my ass a LOT of times.
