The lead pastor of the World Mission Society Church of God, Joo Cheol Kim faxed a letter to the Busan church in April of 1985 stating that members should not deify Zhang Gil Jah and the "Bride" represents the 144,000 saints.

If Ahn Sahng Hong identified Zhang Gil Jah as God the Mother in 1984, why did Joo Cheol Kim caution the Busan church against idolizing her in 1985? His letter indicates he understood Ahn Sahng Hong did not endorse that belief, matching Ahn’s teaching that there is no female deity.

THE MARRIAGE SYSTEM IN THE WMSCOG IS AN UTTER JOKE. THE WMSCOG BELIEVES THAT THE PRIMARY REASON for marriage IS TO DO THE GOSPEL WORK. They sell members on the idea that the end is imminent and nothing else matters. often times people who have no romantic connection are married in a transactional manner to benefit the church.

To marry in the church, members undergo mediation with a leader, title holder, or overseer. In many cases, marriage is refused to those not recognized for strong ministry work or who lack good standing in the church. this shows how much control the group can hold over personal life- quick to direct, slow to support when problems arise. WMSCOG cares about advancing their agenda and not about people.

Just as a chameleon adapts its colors to its environment, the WMSCOG adapts its doctrine. When scrutiny comes, it covers mistakes in attempt to preserve a perfect image.

WMSCOG does not hold absolute truth. Leaders are conditioning members to accept changes after Zhang Gil Jah’s death. If a church keeps revising its teachings, ask: is this really the truth?

South Korean reporters televised an investigative report on the World Mission Society Church of God in 1999. The video provides documentary proof that the World Mission Society Church of God believed and taught members that the world would end in 1999. It also proves that the WMSCOG has a long history of:

  • destroying families
  • instilling fear in members with fear-mongering videos
  • convincing members to give large amounts of money, even if it means selling their homes and taking out loans
  • claiming that a nuclear explosion will destroy the earth
  • claiming that only Zion (WMSCOG churches) will be saved
  • convincing members that they will get a call from the General Assembly (Headquarters in South Korea) when the end comes

The reporters go into the WMSCOG undercover, after being denied entry. The reporters even visit Zahng Gil Jah’s apartment (before she moved into the “Jerusalem Temple”) where the person inside refuses to open the door. The reporters speak to one of Zahng Gil Jah’s family members who claims that when Zhang Gil Jah was just a member of the Church of God, she proclaimed that the world would end soon. The family member says that Zahng Gil Jah ultimately divorced her husband after she began attending the Church of God.

Ahn Sahng‑hong’s 1985 book, “The Bridegroom Was a Long Time in Coming, and They All Became Drowsy and Fell Asleep,” introduced a prediction that the world would end in 2012.

“Writing a letter to Mother (Zhang Gil Jah)” is used to pry into people’s private lives. It’s a manipulative tactic that collects personal information under a false sense of care.

They say Mother is exhausted, then insist on writing letters. The contradiction suggests a misleading effort to harvest members’ personal thoughts.

Think about it, if Zhang Gil Jah is God, she should know everything about you and shouldn't need you to write letters to her.

Have you ever considered that the World Mission Society Church of God may be gaining access to your photos, browsing history, messages, social media accounts, phone calls, microphone privileges, passwords, emails and more through these apps?

Could it be that the WMSCOG is imbedding malicious code onto its members phones?

Members of the WMSCOG believe Zhang Gil Jah is God the Mother. Yet members visiting S. Korea report being required to wear name tags. If she is divine, wouldn’t she already know their names? Is this a test—or a sign of ordinary human limits?

This post outlines Ahn Sahng-hong’s key arguments against the idea of a female deity. After analyzing his main arguments, one will realize that Ahn Sahng-hong never supported such an idea. The book reflects that this was a core teaching of his doctrine, not a temporary measure as WMSCOG claims.

Ahn Sahng Hong never believed in a female deity.

Although many believe they remain in Ahnsahnghong’s original church, a post‑death split formed over doctrine. In South Korea, 11/13 of Ahn’s churches accepted that Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ, Zhang Gil Jah is “God the Mother,” and Joo Cheol Kim is the lead pastor. The World Mission Society Church of God’s theology is mix of Ahnsahnghong’s teachings and Joo Cheol Kim’s theology!

  • Just as John the Baptist came in the spirit and mission of Elijah to prepare the way for Jesus’ First Coming, a final Elijah will be sent before the Second Coming to restore truth, call for repentance, and gather God's people in preparation for the return of Christ.

  • IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS LAST ELIJAH WAS TO ASCEND ALIVE WITH THE 144,OOO WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN. aHN SAHNG-HONG BELIEVED HE WAS PROPHETICAL ELIJAH (IT’S ON HIS TOMBSTONE) WHO WAS GOING TO ASCEND ALIVE WITH THE 144,000, HOWEVER, HE PASSED AWAY IN FEBRUARY OF 1985. ITS IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER THAT HIS CHURCH DIDN’T HAVE A CONGREGATION OF ANYTHING CLOSE TO 144,000 MEMBERS. WMSCOG REMOVED THIS CHAPTER BECAUSE IT WAS A FAILED PROPHECY.

WMSCOG removed entire chapters from Ahnsahnghong’s original “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life.” The 1980s edition had 38 chapters; the current one has 35. Most members don’t know this.

Chapters 1 and 36 included failed prophecies, which raises serious doubts about Ahnsahnghong being the Second Coming Christ.

Members are told that searching online about the church is like eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

• They’re warned that disobeying can lead to spiritual punishment, which creates fear and stops research.

• Information is tightly controlled; members are urged to use only church‑approved sources, which are often inaccurate.

Ahn Sahng Hong, although esteemed to be God in the World Mission Society Church of God was physically married to a woman named Hwang Won Soon and had four physical children.

This topic may seem small, but it matters. The WMSCOG shares certain videos only with its members, including one called “The Great Sacrifice of Father.” It shows a reenactment of Ahnsahnghong’s life, claiming he lived in poverty and owned only one suit. In the next slides, we look at whether that claim is true.

The various pictures seem to show us that he had more than just one suit. IS WMSCOG LOOKING TO PROVIDE A SORROWFUL NARRATIVE TO MANIPULATE MEMBERS? What do you think?

Although this may seem like a minor topic, it matters to point out that the WMSCOG shares certain videos only with its members. One of these is called “The Great Sacrifice of Father,” which re‑creates the life of Ahnsahnghong on earth. In it, they claim he lived in poverty and constant hardship while doing gospel work. In the following slides, we will look at whether he truly suffered and focused only on gospel work.

This may seem like an unusual question, but it matters. Within the WMSCOG, some videos are only shown to members. One of them, called “The Great Sacrifice of Father,” tells the story of Ahnsahnghong’s life on earth. It claims he spent 37 years in loneliness, giving up his wages to write sermon books. In the next slides, we will take a closer look at whether this claim is true.

THE VARIOUS PICTURES SUGGEST THAT WAS NOT LONELY DURING HIS ALLEGED 37 YEARS OF MINISTRY WORK. IS WMSCOG LOOKING TO PROVIDE A SORROWFUL NARRATIVE TO MANIPULATE MEMBERS?

In the World Mission Society Church of God they revere Ahn Sahng Hong as second coming Jesus. They teach that Ahn Sahng Hong is Melchizedek, however, when you examine their doctrine a lot closer, one will realize that it is a perversion of the true gospel.
