Honorable Mention- William. He was part of the only Expedition before the 33's who managed to find out the truth and the only one who made it that far without the Lumina Converter. They broke past the Gommage barrier without ANY help whatsoever, met the real Renoir, and almost made it back to Lumiére in time.

9/8) Lune and Sciel. Dealt the finishing blows to the Axons, and despite being normal painted humans, thanks to the Lumina Converter they became so strong that they were able to fight the literal gods of that world and survive.

7. Monoco. Same discourse for Lune and Sciel, but as a Gestral, he's biologically stronger, and his ability to turn into Nevrons has formidable potential. Moreover, he has way more experience in both traveling the Continent and fighting, as he was shown to be relative to Verso. Plus he can supposedly come back from the dead (Golgra permitting).

8. Simon. After meeting Clea, he was able to kill an Axon by himself. Maybe it doesn't have narrative relevance, but he can supposedly remove people out of the Canvas.

9. Verso. He's effectively immortal, has incredible experience, and depending on the ending, is able to take down Maelle, who at that point has Painter powers.

10. Maelle/Alicia Dessendre. Although she has Painter powers, she's pretty weak compared to the rest of her family.

11. Renoir Dessendre. Author of the Gommage, with the help of Clea he stalemated Aline for years and slowly removed her creations from the Canvas. Created the Axons and the surrounding creatures. It took the 33's at their absolute best state and a weakened Aline to have him leave the Canvas.

12. Aline Dessendre. Former head of the Painters' guild. She's made out multiple times to be better than Renoir, as it took both him and Clea to even just weaken her.

1. Clea Dessendre. Implied to be the best in her family, she's the only one skilled enough to paint over someone else's creation. Her very painted version had a stronger Chroma than Aline herself. She created all the Nevrons and gave Simon the power to kill the Hauler in the first place. With the real Verso, she created the Endless Tower, which literally contains a stronger version of Aline and Renoir.
