If you run Google Ads for a local business, check this one setting right now

Quick tip that's quietly costing local businesses thousands every month.

Go to Google right now and search 'car washing in Texas'. You'll see a bunch of sponsored results. Now here's the problem: I'm sitting in a different part of the world and I see those same ads. Every time someone like me clicks out of curiosity, that business is paying for a click that will never become a customer.

The fix is one toggle.

In your campaign's location settings, Google defaults to 'Presence or interest' which means anyone who has ever shown interest in your target location can see your ads, regardless of where they actually are. Switch it to 'Presence' and Google will only show your ads to people physically in your target area.

That's it. One setting. And I'd bet half the local business campaigns running right now have it wrong.

If anyone wants a free audit, drop a comment. No catch, I don't sell anything. I'm a performance marketer and I just want to get more reps in.

Offering free Google Ads audits

No catch, not selling anything.

Quick background: I'm a performance marketer running Google Ads for a B2B company. Scaled it to healthy CPAs and gotten good at finding the spots where money quietly leaks out.

I want to look at more accounts to keep getting better. That's the only reason I'm posting.

How it works:

- Read-only access to your account (I can't touch anything)

- I dig in

- You get a report: what's working, what isn't, what to fix

No follow-up, no pitch, no nonsense.

Being honest - I'd happily do this for 100 businesses a month. If anyone wants ongoing help after, cool, we can talk. But only if you ask. Otherwise the audit is just the audit.

DM me if you want in. I can also share a few quick things you can check in your account right now that usually move the needle.

I'll audit your Google Ads for free. No catch, not selling anything

I'm a performance marketer running Google Ads for a B2B company. Scaled the campaigns to healthy CPAs and I've gotten good at spotting where accounts leak money.

I want to audit more accounts to sharpen my skills. That's the whole reason. I'm not selling you anything.

Here's how it works:

- You give me read-only access. I can't change anything in your account.

- I dig in and send you a report: what's working, what's not, where the money is leaking, what to fix first.

- That's it. No follow-up sales call. No upsell.

Full transparency: I'm happy to do this for 100+ businesses a month. If one of them ends up wanting ongoing help, I'm open to that conversation. But only if you bring it up. Zero strings on the audit itself.

DM me if you want in. I can also share a few quick things you can check in your account right now that usually move the needle.

B2B accounts especially welcome, but I'll look at anything.

NB: I don't use AI to audit, I dont have any tools/course to sell

Anyone seeing Impression spikes on websites hit by the core updates?

I have 2 websites that got hit during 2 core updates.

No manual actions, both were getting 20-30 clicks/day and they dropped to 0 gradually.

Now, out of nowhere, i am seeing daily impressions spiking since 3 days ago. One site's daily impressions spiked 2X and the other one's spiked 3x.

This was not a one day random spike. Happened for 3 days consecutively now.

Im not yet receiving any clicks from this spike. Is it happening to everyone?

How to bring back the full potential of an Expired domain?

I just purchased an expired domain for the first time. It had a lot of very nice backlinks from websites which has 50 DR on ahrefs.

With the Ahrefs free backlink checker, i could only identify 5 7 URLS which had nice links pointing at them.

If i want to bring this expired domain back to its maximum potential, what should i do?

Please let me know in the comments what you think. Any input will be appreciated as this is my first time doing this.

Cheers!

Open for 3 way link exchange - Only for SAAS/Software/Tech websites

Hi, I have 2 SaaS sites in my portfolio. One has 35 DR and the other have 14 Dr.

I can give you a backlink from the 35 DR site if your site is in any of the following categories.

- Tech, SaaS, Software

In return, you can link me back to my low DR site.

This clears the "reciprocal link exchange" many are scared of.

Please comment if interested. I can add start giving backlinks right away.

Question for well drillers about how you get work

Hey all, hoping someone here can help me understand the business side of well drilling a bit better.

I recently had a well drilled on my property. Got talking to the contractor and at some point he mentioned he wished he had more steady work coming in. That stuck with me because my background is helping small businesses show up on Google and social media, and it's something I rarely see well drillers doing well (most of the sites I've looked at since are pretty bare).

I've been thinking about it for a while and want to actually try something. The plan is to build a proper website and run social pages for a well drilling company at no cost to them. Their phone number goes on everything. Any leads that come in go straight to them. I'd only ask to talk about an arrangement later on if and when it's actually generating real work, months down the line, not day one. If nothing comes of it, nothing is owed.

Before I jump in I wanted to ask people who actually do this work a few things:

- How are you currently getting most of your jobs? Word of mouth, repeat customers, Google, something else?

- Is online lead gen even something you'd want more of, or is the bottleneck more on the crew/equipment side?

- What kinds of jobs are actually worth chasing vs ones that waste your time?

- Anything about this trade an outsider like me would get wrong if I tried to write content for it?

Not trying to pitch anyone here, just want to understand the trade before I spend months building something that isn't useful. Happy to chat in DMs too if you'd rather not post publicly.

Thanks.

I've noticed rank and rent used be popular till a few years ago. Since then the Google algo updates have made the hype go down drastically.

But i would like to know if its still possible to generate a decent side income from rank and rent websites by niching down very locally.

If Mighty Google doesn't plan to hit my site, what are the other challenge i should look out for?

People who are in the rank and rent space, please advice.

My players kept derailing into side conversations with random NPCs and I was tired of improvising on the spot. So I made a tool that spits out a full 5e NPC in one click with name, appearance, voice, mannerism, personality, motivation, plot hook, possessions, and a complete stat block.

Favourite bit: every field has its own reroll button. Keep the name, swap just the personality. Keep everything, swap just the plot hook.

Filters for race, gender, occupation, alignment, and setting. Bulk mode if you need to staff a whole tavern. Exports to Markdown or PNG.

Free, no signup, no ads. randomnpcgenerator.com

If anything feels broken or off, please tell me.
