I baked brookies today, and the pan I used was a bit deeper than a normal 9 x 9 pan, but I thought it was fine. Anyways, I cooked them for 45 minutes, and I took them out of the oven and everything seemed fine on the outside.
I cooled them for over an hour and I just now cut them open, and the middle is like very raw.. I took a piece from the middle out and it fell apart and was super liquidy.
The outsides are fine and cooked but I cut all of them off and put all the middle parts back in the oven.
My question is, is it fine to put it back in the oven and cook it? Or should I throw the middle away? Because it had already cooled off for over an hour although it still feels pretty warm, but I’m worried that it might be dangerous to eat them after cooking, cooling, and then cooking again.
Also, I put chocolate chunks in the middle which ooze out a bit when I cut it open and I’m not sure if maybe that’s contributing to the problem or at least what it looks like.
This is a picture of after putting them back in for 10 minutes
