Some of the supports just fell off and then it started to spaghetti good amount. Any reason it didn’t detect this, also what could’ve gone wrong that caused this?

I found this black tape and gray foam tape when doing my unboxing. I’m trying to figure out if it serves a purpose or if it’s just like most other things, holding it together for transport.
