1st dose (0.25) - feel like I've been sedated!

I took my first dose of semaglutide (the brand available in my country) this morning and all day I've been feeling really dopey, like I've been mildly sedated. I used Saxenda and Ozempic for a while in the past, and I don't remember experiencing this with them. I feel fine other than that. BG is in normal range, I've been eating normally and drinking plenty of water. Has anyone else had this effect when starting a GLP-1?

Cinnamon has no effect on blood sugar!

My friend, who has strong anti-diet and body positivity beliefs, is staying with me at the moment. She came into the kitchen today as I was making my morning smoothie (banana, peanut butter, protein powder, chia seeds, cinnamon, almond milk - basically just a way to get as much protein in me as possible).

People, I've just been treated to a lecture from a non-diabetic about how cinnamon is not effective for reducing blood sugar, you'd have to eat vast amounts of it to see any effect at all, and it's ridiculous that people suggest it to diabetics as though it's going to cure them 😆

I couldn't get a word in for a while, but once I could, I was like "I know, I just like the taste of it in my smoothie..." 🤣

I'm still laughing.
