Most XOXO’s are still closed
Just arrived a couple days ago and the Reminence from the cartel takeover are still visible. Down in the romantic zone three of the XOXO are still boarded up. The burn marks on the building go up past the second floor, not quite to the top of the third floor, but it had to be a pretty scary time. Streets are at 20% of the past street population. So far the restaurants we’ve been to are all open and have had many full tables. I’m glad to see that the expats that live here are doing their best to make sure the restaurants make it. The atmosphere is a little different. Feels safe. The merchants outnumber the visitors so they are a little more aggressive than they were 6 months ago.
