Any mod to add low key background radio chatter in space?

Sometimes when I’m on the main menu in the game, I hear this cool background ship radio chatter. It’s unintelligible but sounds like ship to ship or ship to ground comms. It would add a lot of ambiance to flying around one of the settled systems.

Why do mod authors prefer Discord for support?

I’m old school where forums (sorta like posts on Nexus) were the way you interacted with software devs and companies for support. But now everyone has moved to Discord. Maybe it’s because I’m old school, but Discord seems terrible. It’s just a glorified group chat tool. It use to be where you would go to connect with folks to party-up and use it for voice chat while playing multi-player games.

As a customer, it’s near impossible to find helpful info on Discord… so you have to ask a question that has likely been asked a hundred times before. There’s no way to comb through past discussions on various topics to learn on your own from what others have gone through as nothing is organized by topic. It’s 99% noise.

I imagine as a mod author, it’s painful because the self-help aspect is crap, and you’re constantly getting the same inquiries… over and over.

On top of all this, any useful knowledge shared on Discord is locked away, completely invisible to search engines and AI so anyone searching for an issue that was solved on Discord will never get an answer.

Discord seems to have no upsides. What am I missing?
