Confused about food sensitivity testing
I developed hives two years ago and allergy test revealed a severe dog allergy (despite having a dog for years). Allergy test did not reveal any food allergies, although I have a mold allergy so I figure cheese is probably not my friend. Despite many measures to prevent issues, hives still show up randomly. So my doctor recommended a food sensitivity test…she ordered and administered it. But now I have an overwhelming list of things to cut for three months. And in researching restaurant options that avoid my big three (dairy, garlic, and mustard), I’m seeing lots of info saying that food sensitivity testing isn’t recommended or scientifically based. I’m so confused and don’t know what to do or whether to trust my doctor now. Any advice?
