HR monitor from Apple Watch really far off?

HR monitor from Apple Watch really far off?

Hello,

New runner here 34 M. I’ve done my first event two weeks ago. I do strength training regularly and usually track my workouts using my Apple Watch. I know the heart rate monitor on wrist devices isn’t 100% accurate, but I had the impression they were not that far off -until now-.

I’ve decided to check some data about my race on Sunday and I can hardly believe my HR was that high. Especially because I feel great during the race, I think I didn’t push hard as I’ve waited too long (km19) to start running faster.

I am aiming to keep running and hope to aim for a <3:30 marathon in September.

Are the Apple Watch monitors that far off? Or was my HR really that high the whole time.

Fitnessstudios with working AC?

Servus leute,

The sun is out and temperatures are rising as we are surfing out the third winter wave an jumping into the spring.

I’ve been going to PULS (Killesberg and Mitte) for three years now, I don’t think I will be able to handle another summer working out there. They have ventilation or ac, but it gets really hot. Today the temperature outside was 19°C and the temperature at the gym floor was 24.5°C already.

Last summer we had quite a few weeks where the gym was >27°C, which I think it is just to much to be working out indoors.

Any gym recommendations that do not get crazy hot during the summer?

I’ll make an appointment in a few weeks to check ELEMENTS, but still looking for some recommendations.
