Oullim Spirra is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car widely recognized as South Korea's first domestic supercar. Manufactured by Oullim Motors between 2008 and 2017 and resumed production in 2023
The Spirra is built on a lightweight tubular space-frame chassis with carbon fiber bodywork, contributing to a dry weight of approximately 1,320 kg (2,910 lb). While early prototypes featured a Ford V8, production models primarily utilized a 2.7-liter Hyundai-derived V6 engine available.
Every unit was hand-assembled by craftsmen to ensure high quality and exclusivity.
Though rare, it was sold in markets including South Korea, China, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and the Netherlands.
Most models came equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, emphasizing a driver-focused experience.
The Spirra gained international recognition through its inclusion in video games such as Gran Turismo and Forza.
A racing version competed in the Korean GT Masters (KGTM), where it successfully outperformed established rivals like the BMW M3 and Porsche 911 GT3
The project faced significant financial delays in its early years but was rejuvenated in 2007 when Oullim Motors took over. Despite its niche status and eventual end of production in 2017, it remains a symbol of South Korean engineering ambition in the high-performance automotive sector.
After the company ceased operations in 2017, Oullim Motors resumed activity in 2023 and unveiled the SC24 as a new iteration for 2024 and beyond.
Features a mid-mounted 2.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, a departure from the traditional V6/V8 setups.
