Oullim Spirra is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car widely recognized as South Korea's first domestic supercar. Manufactured by Oullim Motors between 2008 and 2017 and resumed production in 2023

The Spirra is built on a lightweight tubular space-frame chassis with carbon fiber bodywork, contributing to a dry weight of approximately 1,320 kg (2,910 lb). While early prototypes featured a Ford V8, production models primarily utilized a 2.7-liter Hyundai-derived V6 engine available.

Every unit was hand-assembled by craftsmen to ensure high quality and exclusivity.

Though rare, it was sold in markets including South Korea, China, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and the Netherlands.

Most models came equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, emphasizing a driver-focused experience.

The Spirra gained international recognition through its inclusion in video games such as Gran Turismo and Forza.

A racing version competed in the Korean GT Masters (KGTM), where it successfully outperformed established rivals like the BMW M3 and Porsche 911 GT3

The project faced significant financial delays in its early years but was rejuvenated in 2007 when Oullim Motors took over. Despite its niche status and eventual end of production in 2017, it remains a symbol of South Korean engineering ambition in the high-performance automotive sector.

After the company ceased operations in 2017, Oullim Motors resumed activity in 2023 and unveiled the SC24 as a new iteration for 2024 and beyond.

Features a mid-mounted 2.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, a departure from the traditional V6/V8 setups.

The Honda HSC (Honda Sports Concept) is a mid-engine concept sports car that debuted at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show. Although widely rumored to be the successor to the first-generation Honda NSX, it was never put into mass production.

It was powered by a mid-mounted 3.5L i-VTEC V6 producing over 300 horsepower paired with a 6-speed gearbox operated via F1-style paddle shifters or a unique dial shifter on the center console.

It was built with all-aluminum frame with carbon fiber body panels to minimize weight.

It also has scissor-style (or "swan") doors and a silhouette often compared to European exotics like Pagani.

High-illumination LED taillights and an adjustable flat-panel screen that displayed a rearview camera when in reverse—a forward-looking feature for 2003.

In July 2005, then-Honda CEO Takeo Fukui confirmed the HSC would remain a test concept rather than a production model. Honda eventually shifted focus toward a racing-inspired V10 project (which became the HSV-010 GT) and later the hybrid second-generation NSX released in 2016.

Retired civil servant, former temple chairman plead not guilty to charges of RM50,000 in false claims

Retired civil servant, former temple chairman plead not guilty to charges of RM50,000 in false claims

SHAH ALAM: A retired civil servant and a former temple chairman pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here on Monday (April 6) to charges of using a forged invoice and abetting a false claim for repair works at a place of worship amounting to RM50,000 five years ago, Sinar Harian reports.

The retired civil servant, M. Thiruselvam, 65, and former chairman of the Sri Sakthi Easwari Temple, P. Selvam, 70, entered their pleas after the charges were read out before Judge Mohd Nasir Nordin and Judge Awang Kerisnada Awang Mahmud.

According to the charge, Thiruselvam, who has four children, is accused of using as genuine a forged document, namely an invoice dated Nov 15, 2021 for RM50,000.

It was for a payment claim for “Consultancy of Majlis Approval for New Yaga Salai, Resolving Leaking Work for Poorviga Amman and Resolving Leaking Work for Main Temple (Vinayagar Sanathi, Easwari Sanathi and Murugan Sanathi)”.

The document was allegedly given to the temple secretary, V. Gopala Krishnan, 64, knowing it to be forged, at the temple in Petaling Jaya here on Nov 22, 2021.

The charge is framed under Section 471 of the Penal Code, punishable under Section 465 of the same code, which carries a sentence of up to two years’ imprisonment and a fine, or both, upon conviction.

Meanwhile, Selvam is charged with abetting Thiruselvam in relation to the same claim, allegedly committed on the same date and at the same location.

He is charged under Section 109 of the Penal Code read together with Section 471 of the Penal Code, punishable under Section 465, carrying the same penalty.

The prosecution was conducted by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) prosecuting officer Muhammad Arif Asyraf Mohd Khairi. Thiruselvam was represented by lawyer N. Lalitha, while Selvam was represented by lawyer M. Segaran.

Thiruselvam was allowed bail of RM5,000, while Selvam was granted bail of RM15,000, each with one surety.

Both courts also ordered each accused to comply with additional conditions: to surrender their passports to the court, to report to the MACC office once a month, and not to interfere with prosecution witnesses.

The court also allowed an application to transfer the case to be tried before Judge Mohd Nasir and fixed May 11 for case mention.

The Jaguar XF10 (often referred to as the Fuore-Jaguar XF10) is a mid-engine two-seater supercar concept. It was not a production vehicle but a design study unveiled at the 2003 Barcelona Motor Show by the Spanish design house Fuore Design, led by Erwin Himmel.

It featured a 7.0-liter, 40-valve DOHC V10 engine producing approximately 640 horsepower.

Claimed performance figures included a 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph).

The car utilized a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout with a 6-speed sequential transmission and a curb weight of about 1,350 kg.

The "X" was a tribute to historic Jaguar two-seaters; the "F" referenced Formula One; and "10" represented its 10-cylinder engine.

An integrated camera on the roof allowed drivers to record their runs, with playback available on an LCD screen in the dashboard.

A full glass roof designed to give a "bubble" feel while maintaining aerodynamics.

2004 Jaguar BlackJag, a one-off supercar concept created by the Spanish design house Fuore Design. While it bears the Jaguar badge, it was developed independently of the British manufacturer.

Introduced at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show, the BlackJag was a design study intended as a successor to Fuore's previous Jaguar-based concept, the XF10.

It featured a mid-mounted 7.0-liter V10 engine producing approximately 640 horsepower.

At its launch, it was claimed to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of over 330 km/h (210 mph).

The vehicle measures roughly 4.55 meters long and weighs 1,350 kg. Its sleek, black body was built in Turin, Italy, by Modarte.

Only one model was ever produced. In 2014, it was reportedly listed for sale by a private owner for approximately €2.8 million ($3.8 million).
