Linked Cabinet Opening for Smart Coolers

365 is teasing this today.

Make no mistake. Smart coolers that don't launch an integrated "Daisy Chain" experience will be left out in the cold.

Instant Systems was the first with this (I believe) but to date no. one else has managed to launch it.

Of the eight cooler companies we speak with regularly, SEVEN are actively working on this in various forms.

First mover advantage in the SMB category is still wide open guys. Go go go.

(Also, when a company acquiring a public company makes a typo on a PR release).

Amazon to close Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh to concentrate on Whole Foods and grocery delivery

Totally did not see this coming.

Unattended retail/vending operators are, in my opinion, going to end up with these style markets.

Since Amazon Go stores are technically "Unattended Retail", whatever logic is driving this decision will likely impact operators. Wish I knew what was going on here. Thoughts and feedback?

Local (New) Operator Kicked Canteen Out of an 80K Year Account

We were able to help one of our operators in Maryland kick out Canteen (but if I'm being honest it was all her).

Canteen had about 30-35K of assets there (Bev Media, Media 187, Coffee, and another Media).

We helped her place an Ultra and a Pro. Total cost in $11,500.

She went in and did $400 day 1.

Sick.

YOU CAN DO IT TOO.

-Don't stop calling on accounts. Follow up.

-Have pictures on your phone to show them of sharp, modern assets/equipment.

-The larger the operator there already, better chance they under service the machines.

-Bring goody baskets and flyers if you can.

Pitched Against Aramark Yesterday

Our opening salvo for the product presentation. (Breakfast + Seasonal).

We've built out a multi pronged approach to winning these accounts. We're obviously not Canteen or Aramark, but we've built out an integrated presentation/deck, we bring the full-day products (each segment of the day)... and present each segment separately. We also note that we run seasonal product.
