Curious, why didn’t Reolink make the Elite Floodlight camera’s dual 180° image stitching pre-merged? I really can’t see the purpose of having it unstitched.
I’ve been looking at the Elite Floodlight camera and noticed the dual 180° views aren’t stitched together by default. You have to manually stitch them, and even then I’ve seen reviews where one image sits slightly higher than the other or the stitching doesn’t line up properly.
For example, in one video the reviewer said:
‘My other con with the 180° angle is that this is a dual-lens camera, so right in the middle you get a stitching issue. If you walk through the center, you can kind of disappear. There is a stitching option in the app, but no matter how much I adjusted it, I still disappeared a bit in the middle.’
Is there a reason for this design choice? It feels like a pre-merged image would be more convenient.
