Endo Straight out of school
I'm an incoming D1 and want to do endo. The more I research, the more I see that getting in straight out of school is very hard. While I understand that endo residencies value experience and excellent diagnostic skills, I'd like to match right out of school and not have to practice for a couple years as a GP or do a GPR/AEGD. Now given that I won't get as much experience as other endo applicants who are 3-5 years out, I want to do prepare in advance and everything I can while in school to make me a competitive applicant. So, I wanted to ask if people who got in right out of school into endo residencies could share their story and experience. Like what did you do to ensure you got enough endo experience, did you do research, or other things that u think helped. My school also has an in-house endo program so I'll definitely be actively working to develop good connections with the coordinators but i'm open to hearing what else I could do. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks
