2014 CR-V key fob malfunction after CAR battery replaced
The actual car battery died and I replaced it yesterday. But now my key fob keeps malfunctioning. It will randomly lock and unlock the doors even without pressing any buttons, or there might be a delay between the time that I press the button and the doors lock/unlock, or it won’t do anything even though the red light comes on showing that it should be working. And once or twice, it actually worked.
How do I fix this? I tried doing all of the different things that I came across even if I don’t think that they’ll work for my particular model: turning the ignition on and pressing the lock button and turning it off four times, holding the radio button for five seconds, simultaneously holding the lock and unlock button for 10 seconds, etc. There’s no green key light on the dash (if that’s even relevant for this model.)
Can someone please help me because this is driving me absolutely crazy!
