Lan demons vs online warriors
In my opinion, there are two types of players when it comes to how they approach LAN pressure.
Some players actually reach their peak potential in high-pressure competitive situations. It’s almost as if they feed off the stakes and perform better when everything is on the line. Examples of this type of player are BeastMode or Nass. When a situation becomes critical for the team, you can visibly see BeastMode start playing at a much higher level than usual. I’m not exactly sure what the mental explanation behind this is, but I find it fascinating.
On the other hand, some players seem to get negatively affected by LAN pressure. Regardless of how consistent they usually are, they experience a noticeable drop in performance. These players often appear quieter, more stressed, and have less impact on the field compared to their demon form online. Atomic, Atow, or Tawk fall into this category.
