Wheel recommendations
Hi all, I went skating for the first time since I was a kid over the weekend. I used to skate inlines but I have quads now and unfortunately the London streets are notorious for being poor quality and I’m yet to find a good space near me. As a result, I’m looking into getting some new wheels.
I have the rookie rosa quad skates in case this is relevant, and I’ve been mainly debating between airwaves and angel orb wheels. A lot of people have recommended airwaves, and its around £60 for a set of 8 (I’ve even tried looking on vinted etc to try and get some a bit cheaper since its still a new hobby and I dont want to break the bank). Angel orbs have been all over my tiktok since the weekend, and I can get a set of 8 for around £30, so the cost difference is quite significant. The only downside is no one in the skate community I met with at the weekend has tried angel orbs, and as much as I want to try and keep costs down, I don’t want to buy new wheels just to get a different set in a month or two. Since I’m super new to all this, any recommendations are appreciated, especially if you can compare different wheels! Near me is a lot of fields, and I’ve found 1 carpark that is somewhat smooth, but it’s on a slant and my wheels (57mm 82A) were catching on some of the bumps.
Does anyone have any experience using angel orbs?
