Surgery?

Hello all! I have posted a couple of times asking for advice on how to deal with the pain of my TOS. Unfortunately, today i was referred for surgery. I’m really scared. The surgery im getting is a Pec Minor Release / Resection. I would love any advice or guidance on how to get through this. Or just some words of encouragement because im horribly anxious.

Ive been dealing with TOS for almost 1.5 years. i was only diagnosed a couple months ago though. my dr wanted me to do 3 months of PT. im 2 months in and oh boy is it NOT helping.

pre PT my symptoms were very straight forward: pain in my forearm. numbness in my fingers and right above my elbow, weakness. the pain was intermittent and would come and go. i was also very tight, sore, and i had occasional shoulder pain. i had been to the er a handful of times when the pain was level 10 excruciating.

2 months into PT my symptoms are very different: less/almost no pain in my forearm, less numbness in my fingers, still weak, now the pain in my shoulder is absolutely excruciating, like cant get out of bed for 2 days and nauseous because of the pain. (note: its not soreness from exercise, its PAIN. surpassing a level 10). the pain is almost exclusively in my shoulder now and all other progress has plateaued. just today, (ive had a couple of good days) i realized it didnt hurt as much because i can not feel my shoulder. it is completely numb. im really anxious about this. any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
