For all of us normal people that don’t have talent like 90% of the people here this is my true work knife. this knife was made with everything From Work. I found the saw blade in the Ohio river. The pins are welding rods, and the handle is made out of an oak pallet that we had.
I treated the steel as 1095 (pre carbide teeth) and normalized it 3x and quenched it in parks(parts?) 50 and then in the oven @400 for 2 hours.
I love how pitted the blade is on this knife and all the character it has and hopefully will be a good looking addition to the wall of knives. One question what’s the best way to seal the handle and let it keep its natural shape? I forgot to normalize the wood like an idiot
