This weird knocking I heard. Does anyone know what could be making this noise?

This takes place in southwestern Virginia near the Tennessee border with my dogs and me listening to this weird knocking sound.

I took this a while ago, I think sometime in either late January or early February. I was the only one of my family on the property at the time, everyone else had left to run errands, and I was outside checking on our dogs when I noticed this weird knocking coming from up above in the tree line. I don't think it just suddenly started when I noticed it either, I think it had been going on for some time before I actually paid attention and heard it, if that makes sense.

Anyways I took this video and two others (you can hear the knocks a lot better in this one I think) and showed them to my mother when she got home to see what she thought it might have been, and neither of us has a clue.

I think that it's too slow to be something like a woodpecker, and just going off the noise itself it sounds like something smacking a log or a tree with something.

It should be noted that our closest neighbors are maybe about half a mile away, and I don't think they would do something as weird as this. We live pretty tucked back from everyone so I don't believe it would be another person or something like that. Our dogs, who go crazy if someone pulls into our driveway to let us know someone is here, were all standing completely still with their fur standing up on them, looking up the hill at where the knocking was coming from, not really doing much of anything other than just listening.

This was the third of three videos I got of this noise, where you don't have to strain your ears too much to hear it, especially over the bird caws and our chickens in the background.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
