Jonathan Hasford's felony assault charges were dismissed today because the victim didn't show. Not because he is innocent. Based on my experience and opinion, these are not one off behaviors. They are chronic, bullying, and narcissistic life choices. Victims have no reason, other than it being the right thing to do..., to stand in court and battle absusers. But he is not innocent of abuse, though he will no doubt be celebrating like he is. Because that's what abusers do. They celebrate getting away with hiding their ugliness in the dark where no one can see them and though a lot of light has been shone on this incident, Hasford will likely continue to believe he is invincible. individuals who day-drink and then attack their partners are a liability to any university and a danger to any relationship.
