Other day i got drunk and took one of those 2x4 yellow msu police signs and put it by the window, a RA came by and saw it at the window and reported us, the second we got a call we put it back where we found it but the dude still reported us, i just got this email that says

1. You are expected to call  or email .edu no later than April 27, 2026 3:00 PM to schedule an appointment to meet with a professional staff member. The meeting will occur via Zoom, an online conferencing system centrally supported by MSU. You may participate in this meeting via webcam system or phone. The purpose of our meeting will be to provide you with an opportunity to:
   • Review your rights and responsibilities as a student accused of violating policy.
   • Review the complaint.
   • Discuss a variety of conflict resolution pathways.
2. During the meeting, you are strongly encouraged to have a copy of this email message open.
3. During the meeting, you will not be required to make any decisions.
4. You are entitled to have an advisor present during this meeting.
5. Failure to call the number below within 5-class days of the date of this letter, and/or failure to appear for a scheduled meeting, may result in a decision being rendered without your input, a hold being placed on your registration, and/or the matter being referred to a formal hearing board.

should i take accountability to taking it drunk or should i make up a story about my boys putting it my room or something

has anyone had something similar happen to them and if so what happened after
